Caroline is Kenyan by birth. She made herself start speaking in an American accent when she moved to the states at 13. Now nobody knows where she’s from until they hear her last name. The fact that she felt the need to change her accent is one reason she started this blog.
When you meet Aisha, you might think she’s Ethiopian, Cape-Verdian, even middle Eastern. You would be wrong on all accounts, she’s Kenyan as well, and proudly African.
